Every reading reconciles into a single ledger. Frozen DEFRA 2024 factors are applied - grid electricity at 0.207, gas at 0.183 kgCO₂e/kWh - and each figure is labelled with how it was obtained.
You end with 497.5 tCO₂e across both sites, split Scope 1 gas 184.5 and Scope 2 electricity 313.0 - and you can see how much of it you can defend.

Measured
Sourced from a Carbon Visio metering device. A reading taken from the equipment itself, traceable to the device that recorded it.
Estimated
Derived from a supplier-issued utility bill. The bill is your source of record, and the figure is only ever as good as the reading behind it.
Assumed
Gap-filled from a prior-period average where no data was available. Every assumption is disclosed in the report rather than folded quietly into the total.
